Warehouse/Hangar WIP pics

Here's a couple more pics of the warehouse/hangar.

There are different parts to make 2 versions, a large and small one. The large one also has additional gantries.

I wanted the larger one to fit two of the larger models, but with the gantries in place it can only fit one (otherwise you wouldn't be able to remove the model from within!).

I'm still fiddling around with the details, so if you have any suggestions for them please let me know.

I think the next set of scenery I'm going to make will be based off the Eldar Style.

There's plenty of scenery out there available for the Imperium and Orks.

If anyone has any suggestions for structures to make, or knows any good Eldar forums I can talk to please let me know.

WIP pictures of the last building!

The gantry is done and I've started the last building. It can have multiple uses, a warehouse, factory or larger hangar bay.

The building has some modular options as well. It can be a smaller building, or you can print out components to make it larger.

Inside there is a gantry that runs along the wall of the smaller building. For the larger building there is a gantry that comes out of the wall so pilots can enter their suits.

The Skyray and Supremacy Armor models in the pics aren't mine, I found them online. I needed something to use as a scale comparison to make sure the structure was large enough (obviously they aren't included in the Kickstarter).

The large building option has enough room for two of the larger suits to fit side by side.

The tower in the back will fit both sizes, the larger building will have a lower section for the tower. The top of the tower is also removable and can act as a bunker for troops.

I'm re-purposing the gantry parts to fit along the wall, but need to make some changes to get them to fit properly.

Gantry parts completed!

he parts for the gantry are done. There are components to have a second gantry as well.

I made two ladders, one long and one short. There is a large section, L section, 4-way junction, curved sections, and railings to fit each section. the railings are help up by pegs that are held onto the gantry with a peg/socket, although you could drill a hole for a magnet or just glue them in.

I'll be starting the warehouse/factory later tonight and will post pics of that this week.

More WIP pics of the gantry

Here's another WIP pic of the gantry.

There is a long section, T section and 4-way intersection. Each has it's own railing as well. The railing is held up by pegs that will fit into a slot on the gantry floors.

I want to make an "L" shaped section, then I'll focus on how to make a second level and a set of stairs/ladder.

I'm currently finishing up the gantry parts, then I'll get the warehouse/factory building done.

Most of the larger parts have been separated into smaller sections, a few still need to be done.

When Kickstarter is done their end, I'll get all the files together and have download links sent out.

6 hours to go!

Here's another quick WIP pic of the gantry. I made another gantry with the grid plate. That way you can use a grid or the indented plate to match the ones you print out for the wall sections.

The pylons are almost done. They don't have a lot of detail, but they are just used to hold up the gantry.

I don't know if I'll get to post more pics before the campaign ends, but I will update the Kickstarter with more pics when the gantry and warehouse/factory is done.

I'm still working on finishing up the gantry parts. I'm trying to make it so they can fit in more areas, rather than just the two large tower buildings.

I'll also start working on the factory/warehouse building tomorrow.

When the pylons are made I'll see if I can fit a second level of gantries on them. They might be too close to the ground though, so we'll see how it looks.

We're almost done!

I didn't have another stretch goal in mind for a $4000 level, but a few Backers had mentioned they wanted a warehouse/factory.

So if we hit $4000 I'll make one. It's an "unofficial" Stretch Goal!

I'd like to get the gantry and broken wall sections finished before starting another structure.

I'm also currently running all the parts through Meshmixer to convert them to STL files and fixing any errors it finds (mostly un-welded vertices leftover from smoothing).

Some of the larger parts I've separated into smaller parts, but depending on your printer's bed size you may have to slice them into smaller sections for printing. There are plenty of Youtube videos out there that can teach you how to do this, it's really very easy.

But, if you have any issues just pop me a message and I'll see what I can do to help.

Fourth Stretch Goal added at $3700

I think this will probably be the last stretch goal, since I probably won't be able to sculpt more models before the Kickstarter ends.

This stretch goal is set at $3700, it should be easy to get there from where we are now.

It will include a set of broken walls to indicate breaches, and a set of gantries you can use to place between the larger structures.

Both of these are still WIPs, but I will update the Kickstarter with pictures as they progress. I have 3 wall sections to make damaged; straight, curved and inner curve.

The gantry will probably be 2 long sections, with sections that attach to the larger structures (so you can place a door there). I'll also make a stair section that can lead to a lower level of the long sections. I haven't figured out the details of that yet, but the pylons that hold them up will have a slot on them to have a lower level of gantries.

I took more pictures of the Bunker and Curved Wall Section with figures in them to give you an idea of their size.

When I printed out the bottom section of the Bunker I ran out of filament, so the rest of it was printed separately in white (we ran out of Black filament!) The bunker file you will receive will have the bottom half as one part.

I did have to cut the wall section in half to fit it onto the Prusa Printer (it was 1/4" too long!).

The Tau Battlesuit does fit in the turret, it's on a 50mm base.

It can be used for whatever type of building you want, civilian or military, and is modular so you can make is as short or tall as you want.
