The Best Black Friday Deal You Could Ever Hope For

The Best Black Friday Deal You Could Ever Hope For

What if I told you that for every dollar you donate to save priceless American history, another generous preservationist will match your donation up to $10,000? I hope you'd agree that's the best Black Friday deal around.

Through this matching opportunity, we can preserve the history of 18 acres of hallowed ground on the First Day's battlefield at Gettysburg the largest and most historically significant undeveloped land remaining at Seminary Ridge. We've made good progress so far and are close to the finish line, and with your help we can get there by the end of the year. Fortunately, some of your fellow dedicated supporters have agreed to power up all donations between today and Giving Tuesday on November 27th. Through Tuesday, every donation to Seminary Ridge made through our website will be matched up to $10,000.

I know you have many demands on your attention and your wallet this time of year. I also know that an opportunity like this won't last. Remarkably, this land is nearly unchanged since those fateful summer days in 1863, when so many men fought and fell there. This is our moment to honor the legacy of those men by preserving these hallowed acres.

So, whether you're getting a jump on holiday shopping or dodging the crowds from the comfort of home this Black Friday, please take a moment to contribute towards saving Seminary Ridge. In my view, this is one of the most important historic preservation efforts in our history and with every dollar doubled, you won't find a better value in any mall or big-box store!

Thank you for saving hallowed ground in this season of giving,

To recognize the generous supporters of this critical campaign, we've created a Virtual Donor Wall that will debut on our website very soon. Every generous patriot who gives $100 or more to save this land at Seminary Ridge will have their name listed there. If you give $100 thru Giving Tuesday, it will be matched for double the impact. I hope to see your name on the wall!
