Camden Revolutionary War Field Days “Generations” Event

Did you know that two battles were fought near Camden, South Carolina, a British outpost during the American Revolution? Both engagements were British victories. Still, the Americans remained resilient and the campaign for independence continued. Ultimately, the British abandoned Camden.

I am excited to invite you to a special “Generations” event. Join us in South Carolina to experience the life of a Continental Army soldier who fought in the struggles around Camden. The American Battlefield Trust is teaming up with Historic Camden Foundation during their Revolutionary War Field Days to hold this fun, family-friendly event on Saturday, November 3, and Sunday, November 4.

The Revolutionary War Field Days activities will happen from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. with two Generations events each day, lasting roughly 1 hour each, at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. There will be plenty of activity throughout both days, including re-enactors, a fife & drum corps, period games, and history talks.

Adults and kids of all ages will share the experience of the War for Independence in the South. The Generations events are free with the cost of admission and are open to all, with the hope that you will participate with someone of another generation. Some lucky kids will even get to don hats and uniforms! Come out and help instill a lifelong passion for history in your daughter, grandson, neighbor, or friend.
