155th Gettysburg Live: Join Us Online July 1-3

155th Gettysburg Live: Join Us Online July 1-3

Experience the 155th Battle of Gettysburg anniversary commemoration with the American Battlefield Trust, where we will be online to help you share virtually in this meaningful event.

On July 1st, 2nd and 3rd, we will be broadcasting live on Facebook and on YouTube from all over the battlefield and in town with special guests, artifacts from the battle, and access to rarely-visited sites, including battlefield structures. We’ll be joined by Gettysburg National Military Park staff, real-deal scholars, a gaggle of Licensed Battlefield Guides, Gen. Robert E. Lee, and special guests in honor of 50 years of Women in Guiding at Gettysburg!

Whether you are a novice or a full-on Gettysburg nerd, expect to learn things you didn’t know before. I promise you plenty of cool experiences, good energy and lots of solid history along with our partners from the National Park Service, Seminary Ridge Museum, Gettysburg Foundation and National Civil War Museum in Harrisburg.

Locations and topics are subject to digital connectivity, but look for us on our Facebook and YouTube pages throughout all three days. We will visit all the main parts of the battlefield as well as some special gems. Follow the scenes of fighting on the first day, retreat through the town, walk Hood’s Charge, get up-close with Devil’s Den and Little Round Top, ford Rock Creek, walk the length of Pickett's Charge, see the scenes of key cavalry actions, and much more. For more information, click here. And to see last year's Gettysburg 154 live videos, click here (you may need to have a Facebook account to view them).

To be clear, this is a virtual event please do not come to the battlefield for these live broadcasts just enjoy them on your computer, phone or tablet! There, you can ask questions, post comments, and maybe even get a live shout-out from the Trust!
