It's Giving Tuesday

It's Giving Tuesday

Today is Giving Tuesday, a day when millions of Americans choose to give to the causes about which they are most passionate. During a season when the focus is all too often on shopping and spending, this is a wonderful opportunity to make a real difference.

At the Civil War Trust, we are confident that we can count on the continued generosity of supporters like you as we work to honor the men and women who sacrificed so much to build, defend, and define our great nation.

There are many easy ways to support our mission:

If you’re planning on doing your holiday shopping online, register with the AmazonSmile program and select the Civil War Trust as the organization you wish to support. A percentage of the money you spend will be donated to the Trust every time you place an order!

For the history buff in your life, you can give the gift of a membership to the Civil War Trust. Your recipient will enjoy all the benefits of membership, including a subscription to our award-winning quarterly journal, Hallowed Ground.

You can make a symbolic gift of protected battlefield land with our “Give an Acre” program. A notice of your generous contribution will be sent to your intended recipient.
With our Stocks & Securities donation model, you have the opportunity to save on taxes by making of gift of financial assets. Your broker can transfer stocks, bonds, and securities directly to the Civil War Trust.

And, of course, you can always give toward our latest fundraising appeal. Right now, we are engaged in a national campaign to save three pivotal Virginia battlefields: Second Manassas, North Anna, and New Market Heights. More than 30,000 Americans were killed, wounded, or captured at these famous battlegrounds.

It has never been more important to protect and preserve the battlefields where America was forged, before they are forever lost to development. Your generosity today is a gift that will benefit future generations for years to come.
