Happy New Year

Happy New Year

As you know, 2017 marked our 30th anniversary as an organization dedicated to preserving battlefield land. Although we had much to celebrate throughout the year, we didn't rest on our laurels. In 2017, we saved more than 2,000 acres of hallowed ground at places like Gettysburg, Manassas, and Antietam. We also broke ground in new areas and continued our efforts to preserve battlefields of the American Revolution and War of 1812. We saved the first acres in New York State at Fort Ann, a Revolutionary War battlefield, followed by our first War of 1812 battlefield at Sackets Harbor, New York.

You also helped to educate the public young and old about these important places. In the past year alone, your support has sent more than 4,500 children to field trips that would have otherwise not been able to make the trip.

None of these achievements would have been possible without you.

I want to personally extend my deepest thanks to you. I am both humbled and honored by your steadfast commitment to the cause. Thank you for ensuring that these sacred spaces live on for future generations to cherish.

I look forward to many more shared successes in 2018.
