Our Successes in 2017

Our Successes in 2017

Since the founding of the Civil War Trust, we have relied on donors like you to create a legacy of preserved hallowed ground for future generations. Throughout our history as an organization, each year has brought new and often daunting challenges as we race against time to save our historic battlegrounds. And every year, I am in awe of the commitment, generosity and fortitude of the members of this organization. I am deeply grateful to work with such outstanding individuals—from the board to the staff to our steadfast members and supporters. Our success is entirely due to you.

In the past year alone, you helped save more than 2,000 acres at 25 battlefields across 10 states. You helped to save Civil War land in places like Gettysburg, Manassas, and Antietam. Through your support of Campaign 1776, you have also propelled us to save battlefields associated with the Revolutionary War and War of 1812 at places like Fort Ann and Sackets Harbor in New York, where we protected historic landscapes in the Empire State for the first time. You have made it possible to bring our total of land saved to 48,000 acres in the last 30 years.

Please take a few minutes to watch this video as I reflect on a spectacular 2017

I think you'll agree when I say we can't stop our momentum now. There's still more to do before the year comes to a close. Please make your tax-deductible contribution before 2017 ends. Your gift will have triple the impact to save battlefield land at places like Slaughter Pen Farm and Cold Harbor in Virginia; Parker’s Crossroads in Tennessee; Brandywine Battlefield in Pennsylvania; and on and on.

Please make your year-end contribution today.

Only a few more days are left to give a tax-deductible gift in 2017. Your donation will be tripled through midnight on December 31!
