Save Twice as Much Hallowed Ground

Save Twice as Much Hallowed Ground

I recently told you about an amazing opportunity to begin your holiday season by giving to future generations the gift of permanently preserving some of the most important sites in American history.

Thanks to an extremely generous match by one of our donors, any gift between now and Giving Tuesday (November 28) will have double the impact up to $10,000. With your contribution, we can protect hallowed grounds such as New Market Heights, Monocacy, and Cedar Creek!

That means you can help us preserve the site where members of the United States Colored Troops performed deeds worthy of 14 Medals of Honor; the spot where Lew Wallace was driven back by Jubal Early in the battle that saved Washington; and the place where Sheridan scored a decisive victory for the Union cause in the Shenandoah Valley.

Our match only extends through midnight on November 28, so please give now. These outdoor classrooms are critical to understanding the events that defined our nation. I don’t need to tell you how important it is to save these storied sites before they are lost to development, forever.
