Experience the 154th Battle of Gettysburg Anniversary!

Experience the 154th Battle of Gettysburg Anniversary!

Experience the 154th Battle of Gettysburg anniversary commemoration with the Civil War Trust like never before, both physically and virtually! We will be on site and online to help you share in this meaningful event, while showcasing some of what we have all accomplished together.

Join us Saturday, July 1st and Sunday, July 2nd at our restored Lee’s Headquarters site on the Gettysburg battlefield. The Civil War Trust will host living history demonstrations, debut some brand-new signage from Civil War Trails, and you will even have the opportunity to venture inside of the actual Mary Thompson house itself; from 10am to 3pm on both days. Our living history encampment will open to the public Saturday morning with drill demonstrations at 10am, 2pm, and at 4:30pm. Sunday’s demonstrations will be held at 10am and 2pm.

And on July 1st, 2nd, and 3rd join us on our Facebook page where we will be broadcasting live from all over the battlefield and town with special guests, artifacts from the battle, and with access to sites rarely visited. Expect to see something carried by General Lee at the Battle of Gettysburg (with the help of our friends at the National Civil War Museum), go to a rarely visited sharpshooter’s nest, and whether you are a novice or a full-on Gettysburg nerd, expect to learn things you didn’t know before. I promise you plenty of cool experiences, good energy and lots of solid history. Specific times and general subjects can be found on our web site.
