Join Us For the Ribbon-Cutting At Lee's Headquarters!
A historic moment is coming. At the end of this month, we will cut the ribbon on Gen. Robert E. Lee’s headquarters site at Gettysburg battlefield. We will unveil the restored Mary Thompson House, showcase a landscape returned to its 1863 appearance, and open a new interpretive battlefield trail. This project involved some of the Trust’s most ambitious work to date, and the support of our members was essential to acquiring this site and returning it to its wartime appearance. On October 28, please join me and our partners in Gettysburg to celebrate this landmark preservation achievement and tour some of the most significant land in the country.
Friday, October 28, 11:30 a.m.
401 Buford Avenue
Gettysburg, PA 17325
The event and ribbon cutting should last about one hour, followed by several opportunities to tour the Lee’s Headquarters site. Light refreshments will be available throughout the event. Parking and other information can be found at Civilwar.org/LeesHQEvent.
If you have not yet sent us your RSVP, please do so at email@example.com. We hope to see you there!
