Save Antietam and South Mountain!
Earlier this year, you helped to save 44 acres at the heart of the Antietam battlefield. By preserving this parcel you helped protect the most important unpreserved land on one of the nation’s bloodiest battlefields. We cannot thank you enough for your generosity and support.
Today, the Civil War Trust has the opportunity to save six more hallowed acres at Antietam’s East Woods. Just yards away from the land you recently saved, this critical tract saw combat on both the eve of the main battle and throughout the day on September 17th, when it was savagely fought over by Union and Confederate forces.
On top of this, we are also working to save 43 acres at South Mountain, the bloody prelude to the Battle of Antietam. Together with our Antietam property, we have the chance to add a total 49 acres to the more than 841 acres members like you have already saved at both battlefields. Please help complete the battlefields of the Maryland Campaign with your generous gift today.
